A new ecological consultancy based in the North East is looking to appoint an experienced Ecologist to lead in surveys for specialist projects, as well as working closely with the managing consultant in winning new business. The majority of time will be spent in the field, leading surveys on protected species, with one or two days per week in the office writing up reports and developing new leads. A background in the consultancy sector is essential, as you will be responsible for managing your own projects from the outset.
You will be encouraged to develop your own business initiatives and bring a specialism to the consultancy. Please note that this will initially be a 6 month contract, however there is potential to extend this for the right applicant.
Qualifications Full membership of IEEM is required, as is an understanding of the planning and EPS licensing regimes. Ideally you will possess several Natural England species licences and/or have NVC survey expertise.
