A new international collaboration for technology transfer and investment aimed at accelerating the development & uptake of low carbon technology is looking to make a strategic appointment of a new general manager.
The organisations activities will be initially focused on identifying early stage technologies (& credible businesses) with the ability to create and deliver 'low carbon' businesses and the provision of subsequent support to ensure they receive suitable investment. The company will also carry out or commission market and/or feasibility studies as required to support the above activities. The organisation have ambitious targets to build a very significant portfolio of investments therefore the role requires an individual who can be instrumental in driving forward new projects and harnessing the collective power of all stakeholders.
Applicants, should be experienced in business leadership and will provide overall guidance on the engagement with other early stage investors the preparation of annual business plans and management relationships with co-investors. You will report directly to the International Company Board.
To be suited to the role applicants should have at least 7 yrs of fund management / investment appraisal experience in order to assess the commercial viability of early-stage technologies and support the commercial development of those technologies. Experience of energy efficiency and low carbon / clean tech technologies would be an advantage.
